Bea Arthur and Sam the Eagle

From the Totally Looks Like site

Oh God, this one is too good. Sam's personality even kind of reminds me Dorothy, in a small way.

Golden Signatures

Just in case you want to forge a Doctors note or a mortgage application...

Rue might not be able to spell her own name

Where the hell are Sophia's glasses? Who picked this picture?
Bea is either wearing a nightgown or bathrobe whilst reading porn. Perfectly normal.
"To Molly- Many thanks- Betty White + Rambo"? "Panda"? "Pants"?

Update: March 25/14
After reading Betty White's If You Ask Me (But You Probably Won't) I have learned it was Panda.

5 Little Facts- Bea Arthur

  • She was born Bernice Frankel, in her youth she married Robert Alan Arthur. She later married Gene Saks.
  • Bea did not like to watch her own performances in film or television.
  • Before she was a successful actress and a comedienne, she was a truck driver and a typist in the Marine Corps.
  •  According to a television interview, Arthur claimed that her start in comedy came when she was only a lounge singer. Apparently, when she got up on stage to sing torch songs, the audience would laugh at her because of her deep voice and her height. The nightclub manager then approached her and told her she was in the wrong business. She should be doing comedy instead.
  • Was best friends with Angela Lansbury and Adrienne Barbeau

The Bea Arthur Dog Park

Yep, it's a real place!
Owned by PeTA and located at 501 Front Street, Norfolk, VA, The Bea Arthur Dog Park has a pool in the summertime, a shaded area for relaxing, a toy box for doggy fun, and a separate play area for small dogs, as well as access to the Elizabeth River. The park is open 24/7 and is free, free, free!

Bea was a committed animal rights activist and frequently supported PeTA campaigns. She joined PeTA in 1987 after a Golden Girls anti-fur episode (the one with the minks). The park is named "The Bea Arthur Dog Park" in her honour.

Our favourite old ladies when they were youngsters

Bea Arthur: looking serious as ever, but to my surprise she was actually a quite lovely looking young lady. Bea has always reminded me of my Oma, and even in this picture the resemblance is striking.
Rue McClanahan: Yep. Sexy. That apple looks rotten though...
Betty White:She looked old even when she was young, didn't she?
